Chargers Drop 1-0 Contest at Kankakee on 1st-Half Goal

Kankakee scored the game’s lone goal in the first half to defeat the Carl Sandburg College men’s soccer team 1-0 on Monday afternoon.
The Cavaliers struck for the only goal of the match in the 18th minute on an unassisted goal by Justin Marevka.
The Chargers (6-10-2 overall, 4-9-2 Region IV) had eight shots in the contest, with two going on goal.
Iker Sanchez (Miami, Fla./Immaculata LaSalle) made two saves for Sandburg, while Leonardo Amorim (Sanata Catarina, Brazil/Colegio Catarinese Florianopolis) stopped four shots.
